Hi,
Hope you are doing good!
Role: Lead Architect & Engineer, AI Native SDLC (Claude Code)
Location: NJ, Alpharetta, Atlanta
Duration : Long-term
Level: Lead / Principal | Function: AI Engineering | Work Model: Hybrid
About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Lead Architect & Engineer to lead a new program where the
software development lifecycle (SDLC) is driven by Generative AI, using Anthropic Claude
Code as the core engineering platform. You will set up and govern Claude Code for the team,
build the skills and instruction templates that encode our engineering standards, develop
autonomous agents for SDLC tasks, and guide the team in using Claude Code effectively.
This role combines strong architecture skills with daily hands-on development — you will
design the system and write the code.
• Define the architecture and operating model for an AI-driven SDLC — from
requirements and design through coding, testing, review, release, and support —
including where human review gates sit.
• Set up and configure Claude Code for the team: managed settings, permissions,
CLAUDE.md instruction files, MCP integrations with our toolchain (e.g., Git, Jira,
Confluence, CI/CD), and model and cost controls.
• Build and maintain a shared library of Agent Skills, instruction and prompt
templates, subagents, slash commands, and hooks, distributed as versioned Claude
• Develop autonomous SDLC agents using the Claude Agent SDK and headless Claude
Code (e.g., test generation, PR review, code migration, documentation), integrated
into CI/CD with guardrails, evaluation, and human-in-the-loop controls.
• Stay hands-on: write production code, reference implementations, and proofs of
concept; review AI-generated code for quality and security.
• Lead and coach the team on Claude Code — training, playbooks, and office hours —
and act as the escalation point for issues (permissions, MCP connectivity, context
and output quality, cost).
• Define governance for AI-assisted development (security, data handling, code
review) and track adoption, quality, and productivity metrics.
Required Qualifications (Must Have)
10+ years of hands-on development across the full SDLC in at least one
mainstream language (e.g., Python, TypeScript, Java)
Architecture 5+ years as a solution or software architect — cloud-native, distributed
Claude Code 6+ months of deep hands-on use, including team configuration:
CLAUDE.md, Agent Skills, subagents, hooks, slash commands, MCP,
plugins, and permission settings
1+ year building production agentic systems — orchestration, tool
integration, context management, evaluation, and guardrails
Hands-on experience with the Claude Agent SDK and the Claude API (tool
use, structured outputs), and building MCP servers
DevOps & CI/CD Strong experience with Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing,
3+ years leading engineering teams, including driving adoption of new
tools and coaching engineers
Certification Claude Certified Architect – Foundations (CCAR-F), or obtain within 90
