Teams are typically composed of 4–12 engineers, led by US-based technical leads, providing long-term, reliable partnerships. **Role Description** The Senior Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures to support analytics, AI features, and application modernization initiatives. This full-time remote role involves collaborating with software engineers, data scientists, and technical leads to define data requirements, model datasets, and optimize data workflows across legacy and modern cloud environments. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing ETL processes, developing and managing data warehouses, ensuring data quality and reliability, and improving performance of data systems. The Senior Data Engineer will also contribute to best practices, documentation, and data governance standards, and provide technical guidance to other team members. **Qualifications** - Strong Data Engineering skills, including building and maintaining data pipelines and distributed data systems. - Proficiency in Data Modeling for transactional and analytical systems, with experience designing schemas and data structures. - Hands-on experience with Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes and tools, including automation and performance optimization. - Experience with Data Warehousing solutions and architectures, preferably in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). - Ability to perform Data Analytics, including querying, exploration, and supporting BI and reporting needs. - Advanced SQL skills and experience with one or more programming languages commonly used in data engineering (e.g., Python, Java, Scala). - Familiarity with modern data platforms and tools (e.g., Spark, Kafka, Airflow, dbt, Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery) is highly beneficial. - Experience working with cloud services, CI/CD practices, and microservices-based architectures in data-intensive environments. - Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently in a remote setting, and effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
